Does Restay require me to switch from Airbnb direct?
No. Restay connects through your PMS (OwnerRez and Hospitable today, Hostaway in validation, more added on host demand). You stay in your current PMS and channel manager; Restay plugs in as a recommendation + write layer.
What if I don't want automatic PMS writes?
